Work on the eRoadMontBlanc demonstrator began on 2 September on a section of the Transpolis ring road.
The first two weeks were devoted to preparatory work, while the following weeks were spent laying the ERS (Electric Road System) track components in the carriageway, a fundamental step before the electrical work to create the electrical substation and connect the track. Work is now underway and will be in full swing until the end of November.
In addition to the work being carried out by the Eiffage group, Alstom’s teams are actively monitoring the project and providing their expertise in the rollout of the technology.
The Université Gustave Eiffel is the contracting authority for the construction of the demonstrator, and teams from the LAMES laboratory have also been involved in instrumenting the carriageway for part of the demonstrator.
