Works on the eRoadMontBlanc demonstrator on the Transpolis platform are coming ton an end !
While the preparatory civil engineering work and the integration of the ERS (Electric Road System) track elements into the carriageway were completed a few weeks ago, the electrical works were tested and approved at the beginning of December.
This is the end of an important phase for the eRoadMontBlanc consortium, and a particularly significant involvement for the Université Gustave Eiffel and Alstom.
This is also the end of a major project for the design and works teams from Eiffage Route and Clemessy, who were responsible for carrying out all the works. They have been working on this part of the project for around a year.
As a reminder, the track is made up of 420m long ERS (Electric Road System) segments in a controlled environment. It is inserted into the carriageway and is flush with the ground, allowing the current to be captured under the vehicle, thanks to a mobile articulated arm fitted with friction pads. The pads rest on the conductive segments to capture the electricity.
See you in 2025 for the system and vehicle validation tests !
